Position Summary

The Broadcast Media Sales Manager is responsible for driving advertising revenue and monetization across all New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, and Birmingham Squadron media platforms. This includes linear television, radio (English & Spanish), digital channels, the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, and emerging media opportunities. The position focuses on developing and selling integrated, multi-platform marketing partnerships that deliver value for brands while maximizing fan engagement. Working cross-functionally, this role will shape go-to-market strategies, identify new revenue streams, and position our media portfolio as a premier destination for local, regional, and national advertisers.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Revenue Strategy & Sales

  • Drive multi-platform advertising revenue across linear, radio, digital, and emerging media channels.
  • Develop and pitch integrated marketing partnerships that combine broadcast, digital, and branded content opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advertising agencies, local/regional businesses, and direct-to-brand clients to generate new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Partnerships to align sales strategy, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market efforts.
  • Identify and execute non-traditional and custom sponsorship opportunities that maximize advertiser value and fan engagement.
 

Linear Television Broadcast Opportunities 

  • Package and sell in-game and shoulder programming (pre/postgame, original content) as premium sponsorship opportunities.
  • Partner with agencies and brands to create custom integrations, in-game features, and branded content segments.
 

Saints, Pelicans, & Squadron Radio (Flagship Stations and Network Affiliates)

  • Monetize radio broadcasts through targeted ad sales efforts focused on local and regional advertisers.
  • Develop sponsored segments, live reads, and custom audio integrations tailored to brand objectives.
  • Expand agency and direct client relationships to grow consistent radio revenue pipelines.
  • Identify opportunities to syndicate and monetize content across additional markets and partners.
 

Digital Direct-to-Consumer Platform(s)

  • Drive advertising revenue growth through innovative content offerings.
  • Create and sell premium digital sponsorships, including alt broadcasts, branded content, and exclusive series.
  • Partner with brands and agencies on data-driven, targeted advertising solutions.
  • Launch and monetize non-traditional broadcasts and interactive experiences that attract new advertisers.
 

Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network

  • Lead regional sports network monetization strategy, with a focus on attracting local and regional advertisers.
  • Develop scalable ad sales packages and sponsorship models across all Benson-owned properties.
  • Build strategic partnerships with agencies to position the network as a must-buy regional media platform.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent revenue growth and inventory optimization.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in media sales, advertising partnerships, or sports/media revenue roles.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue through agency relationships and direct-to-brand sales, particularly with local and regional advertisers.
  • Deep understanding of multi-platform media sales (TV, radio, digital, streaming) and integrated marketing strategies.
  • Experience developing custom sponsorships, branded content, and non-traditional advertising solutions.
  • Strong network of advertising agency contacts and regional business relationships preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in packaging and selling cross-platform media assets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a client-first, revenue-focused mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
