Position Summary:

The Laketown Squadron are seeking positive and outgoing part-time, seasonal game night staff members for the 2026-2027 G League basketball season who will use their personality and skills to enhance the Squadron game day experience as part of the Hype Team. This position is based in Kenner, LA at the Pontchartrain Center.

 

Under general direction and supervision, this position is responsible for handling, preparing and executing all elements of the Laketown Squadron game experience. As part of the Hype Team, you will become an integral member of the team which supports the Game Experience department within the organization. You will play an active role in all in-game entertainment, assisting fans in and out of areas, and understanding all other duties and tasks assigned for the game.

 

This position is part-time, but will require late nights, weekends and open availability for a majority of the Laketown Squadron home games and events. All game night staff members must be available 2.5 hours before the start of each home game and through one hour after the game concludes.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Attend pre-game meetings, and set up props, decorations and interactive stations before doors open.
  • Work closely with the Game Experience Coordinator to enhance overall game day experience.
  • Greet fans as they enter the arena and assist with giveaways.
  • Engage and energize fans from the moment doors open to the time they exit the arena.
  • Participate in crowd engaging moments such as t-shirt tosses, on-court games and activations, hype moments, cheers, skits and dancing.
  • Serve as in-game entertainment escort for performers
  • Serve as mascot handler on gameday.
  • Assist with post-game breakdown and clean up.
  • Attend all required gameday rehearsals,and report at designated call times.
  • Serve as Squadron mascot for non-game day/off-sight events.

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Comfortable performing in front of small and large.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and capable of engaging fans of all ages.
  • Able to stand, walk and perform physical activities for long periods of time.
  • Flexible schedule. Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
  • Ability to work all Squadron home games (view the schedule here)
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize complex tasks
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. at a time
