Position Summary:

The New Orleans Saints and Pelicans are seeking a Digital Marketing Manager that will spearhead the digital strategy and execution for the Saints and Pelicans, encompassing paid social, search, display, and video channels. Leveraging data analytics, the manager will identify fan segments and behaviors to refine targeting strategies and grow the fan database. Additionally, they will stay abreast of marketing technology trends, test new tools, and provide insights on emerging tech's impact on revenue generation. If this sounds like you, keep reading!

 

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the Pelicans’ and Saints’ digital strategy, planning, execution, budget, reporting and optimization across paid social, search, display and video.
  • You’ll both partner with our performance marketing agency on digital campaigns AND get your hands dirty with in-house media buys.
  • You’ll be focused on helping us achieve our ambitious single game, season ticket and partnership revenue goals, and increase brand awareness.
  • Work with our talented creative team (video, motion, static) to discover which assets are most impactful in each channel, with the goal of continuous creative optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with our digital platforms team (sites, apps) and email marketing manager to ensure your world is integrated into theirs. You’ll help optimize our approach to lead onboarding, cultivation and reporting, which is facilitated through Adobe Marketo, our email and digital automation tool.
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to build segments and fan profiles from the behavioral and demographic data flowing into our warehouse.
  • Leverage paid digital to help grow our database of fans and first party data as we contend with a cookie-less world.
  • Maintain a digital advertising calendar and share it with the Marketing, Ticket Sales & Service and Corporate Partnerships teams.
  • Regularly socialize campaign results to show the impact of digital advertising.
  • Keep tabs on the latest marketing technology and recommend, test and measure new tech that can improve efficiencies and drive additional revenue.
  • Develop a deep understanding for the business of sports and the behaviors of sports fans.

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in performance marketing or digital advertising; ideally at a digital agency or a large consumer brand; past work in sports & entertainment marketing also a plus.
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing channels including Meta, YouTube, Google Display, SEM, email and SMS
  • Highly adaptable, with the skills, demeanor and confidence to thrive in a (very) fast-paced environment
  • Experience with building customer segments and profiles
  • Experience managing an agency relationship a plus
  • Fascination with technology and how businesses can make emerging tech actionable
  • Solid writing skills, both for communication to avid fans or colleagues
  • Strong presentation skills -- adept a presenting digital campaigns and performance results to everyone from rookie colleagues to the C-Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or relating field
