Position Summary:
We are seeking SKILLBRIDGE ELIGIBLE candidates to join our Human Resources team!
**Only transitioning military / SkillBridge eligible candidates will be considered for this position.**
We are seeking an outgoing Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition SkillBridger to join our small human resources department. This position will interface with hundreds of candidates and employees to ensure they have the best possible experience, both as a candidate, but also once hired. This position is based in office full-time in Metairie, LA.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Please note that the SkillBridge opportunity will be tailored to the selected candidate, and the role may not encompass every responsibility outlined below.
Talent Acquisition
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions and partnering with hiring managers and leadership to define role scope and leveling
- Create and manage requisitions, review resumes, and screen candidates
- Guide hiring managers through the interview process and serve as the primary point of contact for candidates
- Assist leaders through the offer approval process, ensuring alignment with compensation ranges and internal equity
Onboarding & Orientation
- Guide candidates and new hires through the onboarding process and assist with onboarding administration (HireRight, drug screening, I9)
- Lead new hire orientation for employees across all levels, including part-time, seasonal, full-time, and interns
HR Systems Administration (Ceridian Dayforce HRIS)
- Process employee transactions (e.g., salary changes, promotions, restructures) in Dayforce, partnering closely with Finance and Payroll to ensure accuracy
- Maintain Dayforce as the system of record for all employee and personnel data
Employee Engagement
- Support initiatives that foster a positive employee experience, including volunteer programs, clubs, activities, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Training & Development
- Assist in enhancing and expanding training programs, including management training and leadership development
- Support the annual performance management process through reporting, data analysis, and coaching managers on best practices
What You’ll Bring:
- You are transitioning out of the military and are currently eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Sport Management, Psychology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in recruiting and/or human resources
- Strong customer service skills; ability to interact with candidates and employees effectively by phone, email, and in person
- Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to work nights/weekends/flexible schedule as needed based on the NFL and NBA schedules
- Self-starter that requires minimal supervision and can provide vendor oversight for assigned projects
