The Staff Accountant is an individual who demonstrates strong initiative, integrity, and accountability. This role is involved in the development and success of the company and ensures financial goals are met. They work as a member of the accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of cash and complete other responsibilities as assigned.The Staff Accountant champions the company’s Mission and Vision and models the company Values.
The position will:
- Protect the moral, legal, and financial assets and wellbeing of the company.
- Exemplify the company values of Stewardship, Integrity, Hard Work, and Service
- Strive to achieve the company’s mission of Enriching Lives and the company’s vision of being the best place in town to work and do business.
- Reconcile credit card statements with accounting records and bank deposits
- Research credit card disputes and recommend appropriate action
- Evaluate and verify daily theatre sales data for accuracy
- Record Megaplex Store sales and inventory counts
- Submit Gratis reports monthly to LHMCO
- Compile and submit Swig Royalty Report monthly
- Collaborate with other members of the accounting team
- Assist with month end close process
- Other duties as assigned
What are the requirements of the Job?

- 2+ years related experience in general accounting preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- Organized, with excellent attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Can-Do attitude; willing to assist with any task
- Skilled problem analysis, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
- Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments and align with organizational goals
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management and ownership.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and accounting software
- Must have the ability to complete assignments by deadlines in an accurate and timely manner
- Must have the ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
What is the wage?
We aim to hire at a level that allows for meaningful salary growth as you thrive in your role. We generally offer a starting rate that reflects your current expertise while leaving plenty of room for future advancement. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $50,000-$55,000.
