What will I Do?
You will work for one of Utah’s most recognizable sports + entertainment brands, with a great team, creating lasting memories for our guests and fans!
The Senior Accountant demonstrates strong initiative, integrity, and accountability. This role is involved in the development and success of the business and ensures financial goals are met. The Senior Accountant works with the accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial statements and operational reports. Through knowledge of accepted accounting procedures and proper management, the Senior Accountant helps to ensure the effective monitoring of company finances. The Senior Accountant champions the company’s Mission and Vision and models the company Values.
Responsibilities Overview:
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supplemental management reports
- Assist with the close process and checklist
- Account for private screenings, auditorium rentals, and other events in coordination with the events management team
- Reconcile bank statements with company’s accounting records
- Assist with review of invoices and other accounts payable processes
- Build out audit workpapers and PBC schedules to assist in audits
- Research to keep current on and help implement new accounting standards as necessary
- Prepare income tax workpapers and PBC schedules to assist in income tax return preparation
- Prepare and review journal entries and accompanying account reconciliations
- Account for fixed assets and associated tax reporting
- Autonomously record, calculate, and submit personal property tax filings
- Collaborate within the accounting team
- Optimize process procedures and documentation
- Support partner resources with ensuring accurate capture of data into a variety of systems
- Collaborate with other departments on designing and building operational reports
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Great communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in progressive roles in industry or public accounting
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
- Must be able to easily adapt to dynamic and changing work conditions
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Ability to work under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities
Office Requirement:
Reports in office (Sandy, UT) 4 days per week with one remote flex option per week (usually Fridays).
