Relevent, LLC (www.releventsports.com), a division of RSE Ventures, LLC, is a major sports, media and entertainment company that brings the excitement of international soccer to the US by showcasing the best clubs in the world through the International Champions Cup, ICC Futures, ICC Women’s, House of Soccer and overall brand partnerships.

The Senior Vice President, Human Resources will provide direction for all Human Resources functions at Relevent. As SVP, HR, you’ll act as an advisor on people issues and collaborate with the business leaders to understand operational challenges and provide HR solutions when need be. You have a profound ability to relate to people and rapidly build high performing partnerships and influence across the business. You will have a big role in shaping company culture by implementing HR processes across the board.  The SVP, HR will have exceptional HR Generalist functional knowledge and experience as he/she will not only be responsible for establishing HR policies but also implementing them. You’ll be expected to provide the strategic recommendation and follow up with the tactical implementation. Finally, you will be a primary point of contact supporting employees and managers on a full range of HR services.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
Overall
  • Responsible for senior level decision making on all strategic HR/people issues
  • Serve a consultative business partner, provide guidance, direction, expertise and lead HR processes, programs and policies, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, compensation, leadership, talent development and career planning
  • Build successful relationships across the organization and develop a detailed understanding of business needs
  • Responsible for interpretation of headcount data, movement, salaries and funding in partnership with the Strategic Finance team
  • Conduct compensation analysis to ensure organizational equity and to manage costs
  • Partner with business on all key talent decisions providing HR advice, consulting and expertise
  • Work with business partners to identify critical factors influencing turnover and engagement
  • Assist in the facilitation of top talent discussion with leaders and drive on-going follow-up and updates
  • Continuously ideate ways to make the Relevent values tangible to every employee 
  • Identify HR best practices, share knowledge and work on continuous process improvement and efficiencies
 
Short Term
  • Establish a new performance review process in which clear criteria for raises and promotions is articulated
  • Review existing compensation structure and create salary bands with a clear business justification, such as responsibility within the organization or impact on revenue
  • Review current titles and make a recommendation on a new title structure going forward 
  • Analyze the current HR software and make a recommendation on the need to implement new solutions
  • Establish an onboarding process that ensures the most efficient transition for new employees Create a recruitment process that establishes sourcing of candidate’s parameters, interview steps by job type, and a RACI chart
  • Review/establish and communicate policies such as dress code, work from home, vacation time, sick days, personal leaves, termination, etc. 
 
Mid/Long Term
  • Establish a Total rewards program that goes beyond cash compensation
  • Create a career planning framework so employees can visualize career paths within the organization
  • Create a succession planning model and talent pipeline
  • Constantly review Relevent’s organizational design and modify it to support business needs
  • Build a coaching and mentoring program
  • Identify critical roles within the organization and make recommendations on how to mitigate risk around them
  • Build HIPO programs  
  • Establish a learning and development framework 
  • Lead workforce planning by understanding current bandwidth and future growth
 
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience as a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner 
  • Strong management skills and the ability to coach and develop an HR generalist and the ability to scale and manage a team if/as necessary
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate across the organization; strong client relationship management
  • Ability to go from strategic thinking to hands on implementation 
  • Strong team player and great interpersonal skills
