THE VENUE

 Legends Hospitality is proud to Partner with Circle Line Cruises, New York’s oldest provider of chartered sightseeing cruises, in delivering a premium hospitality experience to guests. In addition to daily cruises on six sailing vessels throughout the city, Circle Line hosts various special events cruises including a New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July celebration in addition to charters for private parties and events.

 

THE ROLE   

 The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and executing warehouse operations and procedures in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency so that all product, supply and equipment needs are met throughout the venue. Under the direction of the managers, this individual will be supporting the planning and preparation process for events and delegating daily responsibilities to warehouse staff. A top priority will be to ensure that the highest levels of safety, organization and sanitation are maintained throughout all warehousing and storage areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage warehouse personnel while enforcing standards for service, sanitation, product, and food quality
  • Ensure the control procedures are being used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies and assist in maintaining this supply system
  • Coordinate all warehousing activities with management team and delegate to warehouse team regularly
  • Receive, store, and distribute supplies and equipment in warehousing operations
  • Use storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations
  • Manage outgoing product; ensuring no location is overfilled with product and are only meeting par lists
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards, and inventory
  • Assist supervisors and managers in other related tasks and responsibilities as necessary
  • Maintain and control high-volume food, beverage, and merchandise inventory
  • Conduct a physical audit of inventory and product frequently
  • Train warehouse team on safe and best practices for loading and unloading vessels
  • Oversee event set ups ensuring furniture, bars, and product is being loaded carefully
  • Document incidents immediately and notify management team

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Previous supervisor experience in a Warehouse, Food & Beverage, or Events driven environment.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong attention to detail and extremely organized with elevated time management and prioritizing skills
  • Must meet state and city health requirements for food handling and alcoholic beverage service
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and staff
  • Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up and down stairs/ramps/gangways
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism, positive outlook, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on boats for extended periods of time
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job-specific safety training
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

 

COMPENSATION:

$21.00/Hourly

WORKING CONDITIONS

Location: On Site. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, which include being on a moving vessel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands, and handle controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
