Legends at The Rock at La Cantera is seeking to fill immediate Server positions at the Roca & Martillo Restaurant.
The Role
The Server position takes food and beverage orders, answers questions about the menu, sells food items, and provides exceptional customer service.

From Chef Jason Dady in partnership with the San Antonio Spurs, located at The Rock at La Cantera, Roca & Martillo is positioned to open as the most anticipated restaurant in San Antonio. Chef Dady’s creative menu will showcase a harmonious fusion of traditional Tuscan flavors and the bold, vibrant tastes of South Texas, resulting in a uniquely unforgettable gastronomic journey. The name of the restaurant is inspired by the San Antonio Spurs mantra of “Pounding the Rock” with a nod to “Rock and Hammer.” Inspired by rich cultural heritage of San Antonio and the passion of its beloved basketball team.
Responsibilities:
The server takes orders, answers questions about the menu and food, sells food items, and provides exceptional customer service.
• Exceptional food and beverage knowledge base and a very detailed understanding/memorization of menu items and daily specials.
• Serve food and beverages, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and drink preparations.
• Monitor and observe guests' dining experience and keep chefs and managers informed of issues affecting quality and timing of service.
• Support the service staff by clearing and clearing tables, as well as running food.
• Communicate orders with culinary staff.
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
• Accept payments for orders.
Qualifications
• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a current Food Handler's and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certificate.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced, team orientated setting.
• Preferred, one year experience as a server, preferably in an upscale restaurant or establishment.
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items.
Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
