THE ROLE

The Senior Director of Human Resources at Yankee Stadium will serve as the senior-most HR leader on-site, responsible for driving a progressive people strategy that aligns with organizational goals and operational excellence. This role will focus on high-level initiatives including organizational design, salaried compensation benchmarking, culture development, internal communications, leadership training, and strategic workforce planning. The Senior Director will be instrumental in creating scalable HR systems and structures to support both the front-of-house and back-of-house operations across the stadium. This position reports into the Vice President of Operations with a dotted line to the Regional HR Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic HR initiatives, including organizational development, workforce planning, and leadership pipeline creation
  • Oversee compensation benchmarking for salaried employees and make data-driven recommendations to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
  • Develop and implement programs to build and sustain a strong, inclusive workplace culture that reflects the values of the organization
  • Create and maintain enterprise-level organizational charts, RACI matrices, and structure assessments for better clarity, accountability, and alignment
  • Design and manage leadership development, coaching, and succession planning initiatives for salaried leaders and emerging talent
  • Partner with stadium and regional leadership to assess internal talent, provide performance insights, and recommend appropriate staffing strategies
  • Collaborate with department heads to standardize processes related to onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and job architecture in accordance with the CBAs and local law
  • Support and advise on sensitive employee relations issues at the leadership level, ensuring risk mitigation and alignment with policy
  • Act as a thought partner to executive leadership on organizational design, change management, and future-state planning
  • Serve as the liaison between the stadium and regional HR partners to ensure alignment of people strategies across the enterprise
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or strategic HR role
  • Experience in hospitality, sports, entertainment, or similarly fast-paced environments
  • Proven track record in culture building, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness
  • Expertise in compensation benchmarking, organizational design, and workforce strategy
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and external parties
  • Deep understanding of New York employment law, compliance, and employee relations
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Superior computer skills including hands-on HRIS and ATS experience
  • Must be comfortable presenting to small and large audiences
  • Outstanding leadership skills with a high capacity for managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • A strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable working in a matrix leadership environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary range of  $105,000 - $120,000 plus bonus potential, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
