THE ROLE  
The Regional Human Resources Director partners with senior leaders across multiple business verticals and properties to provides strategic advice on a wide variety of areas to maximize organization effectiveness and performance.  The Regional HR Director provides expert recommendations, counsel, and coaching to senior leaders, managers, and employees on all employee related issues such as, but not limited to: performance management, documentation, progressive discipline measures, career development, employee relations, policies and procedures, succession planning, and all employment/labor laws. The person stepping into this role will proactively anticipate employee relations issues and provide counsel to resolve them. The Regional Director is also responsible for building bench strength in the organization through the identification, recruitment, and development of top talent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Talent Attraction & Retention – In conjunction with the Talent Attraction team, develop talent attraction strategies to build a pipeline of talent to support the growth of the business. Attract, select, onboard and retain a high performing, diverse workforce.
  • Organizational Development – Ensure talent is developed within the organization to meet current and future business leadership needs. Partner with business leads and L&D to create learning paths to support the training and development agenda for long-term career growth. Develop succession plans for key roles and development plans for top talent.
  • Talent Management – Lead and support talent management from goal creation to performance reviews. Partner with business leads to ensure employees are aware of broader organizational, as well as individual priorities. Reinforce a constant feedback culture. Review, guide and approve management recommendations for employment terminations.
  • Employee Relations – Act as an employee advocate and champion, ensuring employee impact is considered as business decisions are made. Create retention and engagement strategies to ensure workforce optimization.
  • Business Partnership- Successfully partner with leaders and managers to solve employee and operational problems in a collaborative manner.
  • Compliance – Ensure appropriate polices and processes are in place to meet all legal obligations, minimize organizational risk, and provide a safe and secure work environment for employees. Ensure proper preparation of information requested, or required, for compliance with all state and federal laws.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills; effectively influence others, the ability to make decisions quickly, and a high level of maturity. They will become a trusted advisor to multiple leaders.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with a high capacity for managing multiple projects simultaneously, influencing and gaining credibility with all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years’ human resources experience, preferably supporting revenue generating departments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University required, Master’s degree a plus.
  • Employee relations experience, including conducting investigations.
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, business acumen, organizational savvy, and have sensitivity dealing with confidential information.
  • High energy, with a focus on details.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with UltiPro and Workday preferred.
  • Experience in a union work environment preferred, but not required.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of HR direct reports.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Candidates located in the DFW, Chicago and/or NY market preferred. 
COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $120,000-$140,00 + Bonus
