THE ROLE
This position reports to the General Manager. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overall management of all Operations (not limited to; including Food & Beverage, Retail, Box Office, Events).
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee monthly inventory.
- Ensure cash handling procedures are always met.
- Direct and oversee schedules for all hourly staff to guarantee proper payroll and management.
- Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating customer concerns.
- Recommend and maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the attraction.
- Assist in the development of programs that result in increased customer satisfaction.
- Implement and ensure accurate information entered into POS systems.
- Manage in compliance with established Legends/ASM Global’s policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required from time to time.
- Evaluate performance, instruct employees on policies, procedures, duties, and activities; handle disciplinary matters.
- Coordinate with the GM and Sales & Marketing Manager for revisions and updates of the catering menu regularly, reflecting culinary trends and client needs.
- Establish operational standards, guidelines, and objectives.
- Participate in the leadership team that collectively makes key strategic and operational decisions.
- Analyze and enhance cost control efforts for labor and waste management; initiate continuous improvement in all food and labor cost controls.
- Inventory Management to include weekly and monthly beverage and operating inventory tracking and working directly with the approved vendors for supply requisition and delivery schedules.
- Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and HR/Payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise general cleaning tasks using standard products as assigned.
- Adhere to and enforce health code standards.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness of food and beverage areas, event space and work areas; communicate issues of safety, cleanliness, or malfunctions to appropriate departments; manage maintenance/safety issues to completion.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
- Ensure facility’s fire and emergency safety systems are in operating order and compliant with all codes, ordinances, and laws.
- Lead facility efforts for compliance with OSHA, safety, and emergency policies and procedures including spearheading Safety Committee and training programs.
- Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system on the same day that the safety incident has been reported.
- Ability to meet local, state, and federal requirements related to food safety and alcohol training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise employees and interns in Operations (not limited to but including Retail, Events, Box Office, Food & Beverage).
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality or related field. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
- Minimum of three years operations experience
- Minimum of three years food and beverage experience
- Proficiency with data processing and Microsoft Office Suite applications
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong creative aptitude, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Must work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to adapt to change daily
- Organizational and planning skills, ability to prioritize and handles multiple tasks, as well as delegate effectively
- Ability to take constructive criticism and change direction to suit operational needs
- Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) as required
COMPENSATION
Competitive Salary range of $75,000 - $78,000 commensurate with experience and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.
