THE ROLE   

The Field Team Sales Associate has a specific focus on converting sales by word-of-mouth marketing techniques and handing out promotional flyers. We are looking for individuals who are customer service-oriented, energetic, and self-motivated individuals who will be responsible for engaging with guests on a personal basis to promote the View Boston brand.  This position is a seasonal position and reports directly to the Field Team Supervisor & Director of Sales & Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Greet guests as they enter your work area.
  • Ensure the safety of our guests.
  • Spread brand awareness through word-of-mouth marketing techniques.
  • Convince consumers to visit View Boston and purchase tickets.
  • Offer exclusive giveaways and promotions of our products by handing out flyers.
  • Ability to perform and present information in a concise, legible manner to our guests – must be able to speak loudly and clearly and have a commanding presence.
  • Assigned work post is outdoors.
  • Performs other duties as necessary or required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Previous experience on a promotional sales street team preferred but not required.
  • High level of demonstrated professionalism and customer service.
  • Degree in marketing, sales, theater or performing arts program preferred.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written skills – multilingual a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, energetic and outgoing personality with a creative, and a proactive approach to work.
  • Pre-existing knowledge of the area history and familiarity with area landmarks preferred.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends & holidays as necessary.
