The Role

The Culinary Supervisor position will report to the Concessions Chef and will be responsible to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Concessions kitchens.

Responsibilities:

The Culinary Supervisor position will report to the Concessions Chef and will be responsible to coordinate the day to day operations of the Concessions kitchens.

  • Food Preparation: Ensuring that all food items are prepared to high standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene.
  • Menu Development: Designing menus that cater to the tastes and preferences of baseball fans while considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to maximize profitability.
  • Staff Training: Training and supervising concession staff in food preparation, customer service, and food safety procedures.
  • Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections to maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Financial Management: Monitoring sales, expenses, and profitability, and implementing strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Vendor Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with food and beverage vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Experience: A strong background in culinary arts, with experience in food preparation and menu development.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Leadership Skills: The ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain high standards of performance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and address problems quickly and effectively, and to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations: Familiarity with local health codes and regulations governing food service establishments, and a commitment to maintaining compliance.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the baseball season and stadium events
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, speak and write in English.
  • Ability to lift and transport food and other items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
  • Mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
  • Must have two (2) to three (3) years working in a fast paced high-end club, or restaurant.
