THE VENUE

Legends Hospitality is proud to Partner with Circle Line Cruises, New York’s oldest provider of chartered sightseeing cruises, in delivering a premium hospitality experience to guests. In addition to daily cruises on six sailing vessels throughout the city, Circle Line hosts various special events cruises including a New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July celebration in addition to charters for private parties and events.

 

THE ROLE   

The Beverage Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and executing front of house beverage operations. Under the direction of the Food & Beverage managers, this individual will be supporting the planning and preparation of bars for all day trips and all events. A top priority will be to ensure that the highest levels of safety, organization, and sanitation are maintained throughout all bar service areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all bar areas across six vessels to ensure consistency and cleanliness of product
  • Assist in training and educating on responsible service of alcohol; adhering to company, state, and TEAM training guidelines
  • Manage high volume of beverage inventory – including but not limited to beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Assist in creating seasonal cocktail menus
  • Assist in scheduling, training, and counseling of staff; managing guests and conflict resolution
  • Ensure quality control of all beverage items – garnishes, juices, pouring, glassware
  • Update par lists, making sure all bars of the venue have the same offerings
  • Ensure guests are receiving high quality of fast and friendly service
  • Assure consistency in all cocktails served across all vessels
  • Enforce company and state standards for alcohol service, sanitation, product, and quality
  • Ensure the control procedures are being used inventory control
  • Update P&L statements – which is given to the warehouse to assist in event planning
  • Assist in tracking bar smallwares
  • Oversee event set ups ensuring bars are set up and ready to serve in advance of guests loading
  • Manage outgoing product; ensuring no location is overfilled with product and are only meeting par lists
  • Assist supervisors and managers in other related tasks and responsibilities as necessary
  • Conduct a physical audit of inventory and product frequently
  • Document incidents immediately and notify management team

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a Bar, Club, Stadium or Arena, or Events environment.
  • Previous bartending experience
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong attention to detail and extremely organized with elevated time management and prioritizing skills
  • Must meet state and city health requirements for food handling and alcoholic beverage service
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and staff
  • Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up and down stairs/ramps/gangways
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism, positive outlook, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on boats for extended periods of time
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job-specific safety training
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

 

COMPENSATION:

$21/ Hourly
