THE ROLE

The Assistant Buyer is responsible for the development, procurement, allocation, and maintenance of merchandise sku’s by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Product development using sales history, future projections and future opportunities to expand the business
  • Work with Buyer to analyze sales and develop buying strategies based on projections while considering budget, sales history, fixture fill and product placement.
  • Work with Buyer on product allocation based on sales projections. Adjustments made as needed based on sales trends and season.
  • Work with Buyer to management trackside product placement (POG)
  • Work with vendors to ensure best prices, practices and delivery on time.
  • Work with internal resources to ensure all new items are online .
  • ERP Sku & Order management
  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year College / Three-Four years within Legends Global Merchandise.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • This position requires that the person be highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong computer skills are a must. Use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Docs and comfortable use of Internet is necessary.
  • Must have excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and follow work processes.
  • Ability to handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
  • The ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.

  • Proficient knowledge of company systems, policies & procedures.

  • Position requires spending long hours sitting using computers, entering data which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
