Fighting Illini Sports Properties (FISP), a division of Learfield Sports, is the multi-media rights holder for the University of Illinois’ Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. FISP is therefore responsible for corporate, broadcast media and hospitality sales for Illinois Athletics.

FISP is actively seeking an Account Executive to work from Champaign, IL. Ideal candidates will have significant experience developing corporate marketing partnerships.

This Account Executive corporate partnership sales position will be responsible for creating and implementing high level corporate marketing partnerships for the university athletic program while also building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and the Illinois athletic department staff.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting for new partners
Maintaining sponsor relationships for university athletic program
Creating and presenting sponsorship packages designed to meet clients’ objectives
Collaborating with vendors, sponsors, FISP staff, and appropriate university athletic-personnel to ensure implementation of sponsorships and contract fulfillment
Developing creative, sellable inventory to introduce to the school, staff and marketplace

Requirements:

Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience selling comprehensive sports marketing partnerships including major media elements
Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
Self-motivated while also team oriented
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
A general curiosity for appropriate industries and ability to strategize their solutions
