Nature of Work:
The XR Stage Supervisor position is the primary technician in charge of maintenance and operation of KSE’s extended reality stage and all related software and hardware components including (but not limited to) Disguise Designer, Unreal Engine, Brompton Tessera, and OptiTrack motion capture systems. Assisted by Altitude Engineering and Production Operations, the XR Stage Supervisor is expected to handle upkeep of the stage, train other employees on its functions, coordinate with Creative Services about stage designs and updates, and be present on site for live events to assist production teams with achieving desired results.

Examples of work performed:
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on software and hardware related to the extended reality stage. Provide recommendations for necessary improvements and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with Production and Creative Services to ensure virtual environments in Unreal Engine are of satisfactory quality for broadcast and implement new configurations and ideas.
  • Follow along with live productions, be attentive to cues and requests, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Demonstrate the capabilities of the set to potential clients and partners.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Willing to work nights, weekends & holidays
  • Lift 50 lbs. daily
  • Travel in extreme weather conditions
 
Qualifications
  • Minimum
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 2 years’ experience with Disguise Designer
    • 2 years’ experience with XR stage
    • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    • BA/BS in communications or a related field
    • Experience with Unreal Engine, Brompton Tessera, & Opitrack motion capture systems
    • Experience in a broadcast or media environment

  • Knowledge of and Skill & Ability using Disguise Designer
  • Knowledge of and Skill & Ability using Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of and Skill & Ability using Brompton Tessera
  • Knowledge of and Skill & Ability using Optitrack motion capture systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot XR set hardware and software
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism
  • Ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently & in a group setting and demonstrate good judgment skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing environments

Compensation
  • Full Time Employee - $33.65 - $38.46 per hour
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
