Nature of Work:

The Venue Marketing Internship provides an opportunity to learn and assist with various digital event marketing and promotion initiatives for Ball Arena, Paramount Theatre, and DICK’S Sporting Goods Park. Interns will participate in day-to-day operations of the Booking and Event departments. This position will focus on branding, client recaps, video and artwork/digital asset creation, advertising, promotional campaigns, tickets sales initiatives, and more for concert and family events. The ideal intern should have strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, social content creation, copyright skills, and be available some nights and weekends.

 

Examples of work performed:

  • Conduct research and create recaps or presentations for concert marketing initiatives
  • Assist in creating multiple venue artwork assets, including monthly venue calendars, box office posters and more 
  • Capture content for social media campaigns 
  • Edit and create video for department needs
  • Assist in creating artwork for upcoming shows 
  • Assist with marketing buys as needed, and create marketing copy
  • Shadow Manager and other team members during events in a marketing/publicity capacity and other Arena Operations departments
  • Assist with grassroots marketing campaigns 
  • Attend weekly Arena Operations, Event and Booking meetings.
  • Execute specific projects and promotions as assigned
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum
    1. High school diploma or GED, required
    2. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. BS/BA degree in field or related field or working towards a degree in a related field

 

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially: Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word Processing, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple departments and multiple companies
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong professional presence
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team goals
  • Available to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards preferred.
  • All Colorado Interns are required to attend all KSE Internship Program hosted events that occur during business hours. If unable to attend due to work, school or unforeseen circumstance, the Intern must inform the Internship Program Committee via the RSVP form provided via email..
  • All Interns are required to participate in the KSE Mentorship Program by meeting with assigned Mentor in person or virtually at least for the initial meet-up.

 

Compensation

  • Base hourly range $18.29 per hour
