Nature of Work:

The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for building commercials logs by collectively coordinating spots and materials across Outdoor Sportsman Group (OSG). They will strategically control inventory based on order expectations and network requirements. This position will also be expected to work closely with Sales, Programming, Promo, Master Control, and Media departments as well as advertisers. Additionally, this position will require extreme attention to detail, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a positive team-work mentality.


Examples of work performed:

  • Schedule advertiser commercials on logs as ordered
  • Communicate with sales to address conflicts or spots that fail to air as scheduled/ordered
  • Manipulate inventory for the week to clear as many spots as possible
  • Clear oversell by working with sales on makegood packages
  • Check logs to ensure equal rotations and separation are met for all advertisers/spots
  • Maximize commercial inventory to clear as many spots as possible and meet sales revenue goals
  • Approve and process sales orders in traffic system
  • Enter materials and copy instructions from advertisers and agencies
  • Communicate with advertisers regarding missing instructions
  • Troubleshoot copy instruction clarification or discrepancies
  • Time out all logs accordingly
  • Coordinate efforts with promo to complete logs in a timely/accurate manner
  • Finalize and deliver logs to master control if necessary
  • Create and process any log change memos and ensure the changes are made by master control
  • Coordinate with other operation staff to accommodate any necessary late changes
  • Trouble shoot any traffic issues that may arise with the Wide Orbit, operations, sales, etc.
  • Assists other traffic coordinators as needed
  • Help with various traffic department projects

  • Minimum
    1. High School Diploma or GED
    2. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. 2+ years’ experience in broadcast television

  • Experience working in Wide Orbit Traffic Software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills

  • Base hourly range $20-$21 per hour
