Nature of Work:

The Studio Technician position operates several different technical positions in the Altitude studio, including but not limited to camera, jib camera, duet, audio, technical director and EVS.  The Studio Manager & Director crews the Studio Technician for specific shifts for various Altitude productions.

 

Examples of work performed:

  • Operate Jib camera for pregame & postgame shows
  • Operate EVS tape machine for pregame & postgame shows
  • Operate duet graphics machine for pregame & postgame shows
  • Operate Sony switcher for pregame & postgame shows
  • Assist director with lighting on set
  • Operate audio board for pregame & postgame shows, mic talent and monitor audio levels

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • When operating cameras, may have to stand for stretches of 30 minutes to an hour

Qualifications

  • Minimum
    1. High School Diploma or GED
    2. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. 2+ years of television experience

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to changing environment
  • Must have general knowledge of headset and RTS panel operations 

Compensation

  • Base Wage Range:  $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
