Nature of Work:
The Senior Accounting Manager is an integral part of the OSG Publishing Accounting team and helps to ensure that the month-end close process is as efficient and effective as possible. This position will assist in preparing statements in accordance with accounting guidelines to ensure accurate financial reporting and control, under the supervision of the Controller. Additionally, this position will provide a first-level analytical review and summary of the financial statements.
Examples of work performed:
- Direct supervisory duties of the OSG Publishing Accounting team.
- Prepare, record and analyze monthly journal entries and reports, as assigned.
- Review journal entries and monthly reporting prepared by the OSG Publishing Accounting team.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements and management reports upon completion of close responsibilities.
- Assist in developing accounting policy and procedures and administer approved accounting procedures.
- Assist Controller in preparation and review of the annual Publishing budget.
- Support monthly and quarterly sales commission processes.
- Review account reconciliations and research reconciling items timely.
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting, as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- 5-7+ years of demonstrated accounting experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office software programs, with advanced Excel skills.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Preferred
- Public accounting experience a plus.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA-track a plus.
- Demonstrated management experience of a team of accountants a plus.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics a plus.

Compensation
- Base salary range $90,000 - $105,000 per annum
