Nature of Work:
  • To aid the club’s scouting processes through video analysis, technical scouting and production of video content to be presented within the department and to the wider technical staff.
 
Examples of work performed:
  • Maintaining a video library of potential recruitment options for the Colorado Rapids first team and second team.
  • Producing detailed video reports on target players.
  • Conducting extensive video scouting and analysis to support the talent identification process.
  • Creating presentation materials, for internal and external use.
  • Collating and coordinating scouting information and market intelligence within the department.
  • Filing comprehensive player reports using the club’s scouting platform.
  • Adhering to the club’s positional profiles and report format.
  • Monitoring players who are out on loan at other clubs or playing NCAA soccer.
  • Working proactively with the Director of Scouting, Scouts and Video Scouts to ensure thorough coverage and knowledge of all relevant leagues.
  • Attending weekly department meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum
    • High School or GED
    • 1+ years’ experience working in an analysis role in a professional soccer environment
    • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
 
  • Preferred
    • Muti-lingual – ability to speak a second language in addition to English
    • Completed or working towards a soccer licensure either as a coach or in Talent ID
 
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience using Wyscout, Hudl, SportsCode and/or similar telestration software
  • Possess current knowledge of MLS and international leagues
  • Ability to interpret tactical and technical concepts
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently & in a group setting and demonstrate good judgment skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Compensation
  • Base $60,000 per annum
