Nature of Work:

This position is responsible for providing video analysis and related action plans for the Rapids 2 staff, team and individual players.

 

Examples of work performed:

  • Analyzing matches and training to criteria agreed upon by the Rapids 2 Head Coach and 1st Team Player Development Coach and producing the desired footage and statistics 
  • Filming and analyzing match footage and providing meaningful intelligence for coaches in a timely manner
  • Use statistical player and team reports and to create and present tactical plans for individual players and team.
  • Support the teams, staff and players in training and provide specific analysis for them to act on.
  • Create specific video and data reports for high potential players and create player development plan for player
  • Produce and/or attend meetings, conferences and other associated events as directed by Rapids 2 General Manager and Rapids 2 Head Coach 
  • Managing, maintaining and ensuring the safe utilization of all analysis equipment
  • Create digital library of sessions
  • Determine key traits and assist in the completion of opposing team scouting reports
  • Assist coaching staff with other tasks as necessary 
  • Travel as required
  • Assist Sr. Director of Soccer Development and Academy Technical Director with other duties as assigned.

  • Moderate to loud noise.
  • Outdoor weather conditions 2/3 of time.
  • Clear vision at 20”, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Qualifications

  • Required 
    1. Knowledge, education and experience in the use of performance analysis in improving team performance
    2. Demonstrated experience with technology and digital media
  • Preferred
    1. Demonstrated experience with video editing software is preferred
    2. Demonstrated experience with match analysis software such as Sportscode, Wyscout, Metrica, Prozone, Instat, etc is preferred
    3. Previous experience as a coach or analysts in soccer is preferred.

 

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated high level of organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of player development in the sport of soccer and ability to understand intricacies of Colorado Rapids player development model.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and routine business correspondence using Word and Excel software. 
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards. 

 

Compensation

  • Base hourly rate:  $19.23 per hour
