Nature of Work:

This position will utilize a mature and robust infrastructure to aggregate video, audio and graphical assets for linear distribution. Inspect and ensure all content meets technical and content guidelines. Enter program segment timing information into database, track closed captioning orders for both domestic and international clients. Communicate across departments daily to facilitate quality assured show assets and metadata. Transcode content to correct format, add or remove advertising and export to specification free of errors.


Examples of work performed:

  • Procurement of all needed digital program materials including digital files, text, metadata, key art and images from relevant source destinations.
  • QC content for technical specifications and content guidelines.  Prep content using Adobe Premier to perform basic edit functions. 
  • Confirm and validate accurate closed captioning.
  • Enter metadata information into planners, asset management and traffic systems.
  • Archive content on schedule to maintain storage availability.  Both cloud and no-prem.
  • Segment and ingest content into air servers for playout.
  • Communicate constructively with fellow co-workers to ensure tasking success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • General office equipment to include phone, fax, computer/keyboard, copier, etc.
  • Candidate may be required to work remotely.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to alter shifts/days/PTO to accommodate projects and departmental objectives. 




  • Minimum
    1. High School Diploma or GED
    2. 1-3 years video editing experience
    3. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. BA/BS in Communications, Computer Science or similar
    2. Experience with Adobe Premier, Creative Cloud.
    3. 2-4 years Television experience at a regional or national network.


Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Skills in video editing. Use of Adobe Premier, Media Encoder, CC etc. 
  • Adobe CC, networking, Windows, Mac and Office experience.
  • Understanding of computer systems, principles, network security, storage management and policy, data entry to an asset management system.
  • Working knowledge of file delivery protocols and systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and concisely both written and verbally 
  • Ability to troubleshoot, make rapid decisions, and execute resolutions quickly in dynamic situations
  • Attention to detail in support of back-end traffic and asset management systems.



  • Base hourly range $20-$22 per hour 
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
