Nature of Work:

The Marketing Solutions and Sweepstakes Manager is responsible for development and day-to-day management of sponsored sweepstakes and marketing programs including, but not limited to, market research, advertising, onsite activation, email marketing and campaign tracking. The Marketing Solutions and Sweepstakes Manager will also work closely with the Sales, Operations, Digital and TV Production teams to maximize sweepstakes profitability. 

Examples of work performed:

  • Assisting the Marketing and Membership Services Director with ad planning and buying to maximize fan attendance, angler participation and membership sales.
  • Working closely with the Sales team to develop and manage profitable sponsor sweepstakes and event activations. 
  • Working with third-party vendors on sweepstakes rule development.
  • Manage sweepstakes promotions, entries, winner selection/notification and prize fulfillment.
  • Sending weekly tournament recruitment emails.
  • Social media advertising campaign management.
  • Market research.
  • Evaluating sweepstakes and campaign performance.
  • Creation of PowerPoint slides for use by Sales in sweepstakes and event activation presentations for current and potential sponsors.  
  • Using CRM software to increase tournament participation, sweepstakes entries and membership sales.  
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1. Associate degree in marketing, business administration, organizational communication, advertising or related discipline or 3+ years of relevant experience in related field. 
    2. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. BS/BA degree in marketing, business administration, organizational communication, advertising or related discipline.
    2. Experience working in the tournament fishing industry. 
    3. Experience working in a membership-based organization. 
    4. Event promotions and advertising experience.
    5. Sweepstakes experience.

  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Copyrighting and graphic design skills. 
  • CRM experience with software such as Marketing Cloud or MailChimp.
  • The ability to organize, process and analyze a large amount of data and act on it in a timely manner.
