Nature of Work:
Coordinate and manage event & operational activities for the DICK’S Sporting Goods Park to include managing internal venue scheduling, project management, supervision of event staff, event management, and performing general office functions for the operations department.  The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, and involves frequent interaction with contractors, event staff, team personnel, and other internal stakeholders. 
 
Examples of Work Performed:
  • Plans, coordinates, and takes ownership of specifically assigned events including but not limited to, meetings with clients, directing the work of vendor staff during events, billing and invoice generation, and settlements.
  • Compiles and distributes event related information and coordinates scheduling services with vendors, police, fire, paramedic, and other providers.
  • Game day assistance for Director to include:
    • Working with ticket sales activations both inside and outside the stadium.
    • The coordination of the home and visiting supporter group(s).
  • Ability to manage small to mid-sized projects independently and assist superiors on large scale capital projects.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and scheduling vendor work, coordinating work site locations, and tracking progress to completion.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of venue standard operating procedures (SOPs) and general documented guidelines for the venue operations department.
  • Maintains and manages up-to-date information for daily DSGP venue room space usage and Private Events Calendar.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat and cold
  • Moderate to very loud noise
  • Have body movement and dexterity to complete tasks
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 - 2+ years’ experience in event management or event planning and execution, preferably in the sports industry.
 
Compensation
  • $60,000-$70,000
