Nature of Work:
The IT Operations Manager manages Information Technology operations at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (DSGP). This is an On-Site role. No remote position.
 
Examples of work performed:
  • Manages daily technology operations at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (DSGP).
  • Management of HPE Aruba ClearPass and Airwave
  • Supports daily operation and deployment of site computer room equipment including servers, routers, backup equipment, and data switches.
  • Represents IT interests with DSGP/Colorado Rapids leadership and participates in DSGP/Rapids planning meetings.
  • Understands the role of technology for DSGP operations and engages with departments and users regarding the use of technology on site.
  • Deploys desktops and laptops to site users.
  • Works with appropriate IT leadership on site infrastructure projects and initiatives including networking, WiFi, disaster recovery, information security, telecom, identity management, and workstation management.
  • Develops after-hours support plans and resources.
  • Documents full range of DSGP IT operations and activities.
  • Provides recommendations on hardware and software standards and products.
  • Assists IT staff with diagnoses of software, hardware, and operator problems; and provides feedback to staff and end-users.
  • Provides end user technical support and training, when applicable.
  • Moves hardware to accommodate personnel changes and needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands/arms, climb or balance.
  • Frequently lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 70 lbs.
  • Regularly use close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Noise level is usually moderate but occasionally very loud.
  • On-site role, five (5) days a week.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum (applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire):
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
    • Two years of IT networking experience.
    • Five years of experience supporting PC and Microsoft software products.
    • Five years of experience in IT hardware maintenance.
  • Preferred:
    • Microsoft Certification
    • Network certification or CCNA
 
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the operation and support of a wide variety of IT functions including server and desktop hardware, networking, telecommunications, operating systems, and application software.
  • Excellent people skills required to interface with IT staff and end-users.
  • Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
  • Cooperative attitude and flexible approach to a wide variety of situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently & in a group setting and demonstrate good judgment skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to changing environment.
 
Compensation:
  • Salary Range $75,000 - $80,000
