The KSE Information Technology (IT) Department provides a broad range of technology services supporting operations at the enterprise, business unit, department, event, and project levels within the company. The IT department focuses on building and maintaining a reliable and secure technology infrastructure while delivering quality services that are prompt, cost effective, and reliable.
Nature of Work:
Supports IT, InfoSec, and Privacy functions with implementation of policies and controls. Assists with process development and tools implementation. Analyzes data from endpoint, network, identity and access management (IAM), and other log sources.
Examples of work performed:
- Supports the Information Security team with monitoring technical activities.
- Supports Privacy with process and policy development and implementation.
- Creates and maintains documentation and policies concerning safe and acceptable use of technology resources.
- Investigates and documents company adherence to external compliance requirements.
- Assist with troubleshooting security issues and provide technical support over the phone and in person
- Organize and maintain Information Security resources
- Other duties as assigned
- Work event schedules as necessary
- All Colorado Interns are required to attend all KSE Internship Program hosted events that occur during business hours. If unable to attend due to work, school or unforeseen circumstance, the Intern must inform the Internship Program Committee.
- All Interns are required to participate in the KSE Mentorship Program by meeting with assigned Mentor in person or virtually at least for the initial meet-up.

Qualifications
- Minimum
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Currently enrolled in a (4-year) undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Preferred
- Computer Science, Programming, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Math, or similar major.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in the use of computers and laptops running the Windows operating system.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of computer components and technical terms.
- Basic understanding of computer networks and data communications.
- Good analytical skills for investigating security issues.
- Good communications skills for working with a wide variety of end users
- Excellent organization skills for creating priorities, documenting problems and solutions, following detailed instructions.
Compensation
- Base hourly rate of $18.81 per hour
