Nature of Work:
This position provides an opportunity to learn and assist with the game-night operations of the Colorado Avalanche Communications department, as well as work with the hockey operations staff. This role will specifically focus on the topic of media relations and team operations.
Examples of work performed:
- Responsible for the set up and tear down of media booths, press box and media lounge.
- Distribute in-game statistics, notes and postgame booklets to proper personnel.
- Check-in media, staff and player family members into Ball Arena by giving them their game passes.
- Obtain audio from player and head coach interviews and transcribe statements into written quotes.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum
- At least 18 years of age
- At least one year of experience in communications or other relevant field.
- High School diploma/GED certification or pursuing one.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment with media, players, coaches and multiple departments.
- Ability to keep information pertaining to team business confidential unless given permission otherwise.
- Good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software skills.

Compensation:
- Base hourly range $18.81 per hour
