Nature of Work:
The Event Assistant - Clerical at Major League Fishing (MLF) is responsible for providing clerical support in the planning and execution of fishing tournaments. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks, participant coordination, and ensuring smooth operations during tournaments.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Assists in the setup and breakdown of tournament sites.
- Manages registration and communication with participants.
- Verifies weights and/or penalties and ensures they are recorded accurately.
- Assists with the management of sponsor contingency programs.
- Handles paperwork including results, standings, payouts, and pairings.
- Prints and verifies the accuracy of prize checks.
- Sends tournament data to the office server and FLWFishing.com.
- Addresses inquiries and resolves issues related to tournaments.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in business administration, sports management or related field
- 2+ years of experience in event or tournament administration
