Nature of Work:

Conversion Crew members are in charge of changing the arena floor setup for each event. Performs all tasks related to the conversion process to include laying flooring, moving and setting risers, setting portable seating, assisting with the setting of dasher boards, etc.

 

Examples of work performed:

  • Candidates should arrive on time to work for scheduled work shifts; follow directions from Supervisors, and Manager; work with a variety of tools.
  • Setting The Basket-Ball floor and Glass for Hockey.
  • Changing seating configuration for each event held in the bowl. 
  • Work in a fast-pace environment.
  • Work well within a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel 2/3 or more of time.
  • Sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach w/hands and arms, taste or smell, up to 1/3 of time.
  • Talk or hear, up to 2/3 of time.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs., up to 2/3 of time; lift more than 50 lbs., up to 1/3 of time.
  • Wet, humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor conditions, risk of shock, vibration, up to 1/3 of time.  
  • Use of ladders up to 1/3 of time. 
  • Moderate to very loud noise.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Six months conversion experience in a large, multi-use facility, preferred.
  • Knowledge of general conversion tasks, preferred. 
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, preferred.
  • General heavy labor or building maintenance experience, including general carpentry skills and/or welding, highly preferred.
  • Experience with hand and power tools, highly preferred. 
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards, required. 

 

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English. 
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays, required.

 

Compensation

  • Base hourly rate: $22.00/hr
