Nature of Work:

 

The purpose of the Building Engineer-Audio Visual position is to support the KSE Engineering Department during event times and will be responsible for assisting with many event related tasks with an emphasis on AV event support.

 

Examples of work performed: 

 

  • Assists with general engineering tasks throughout an event.  Including elevators, escalators, and light electrical.
  • Troubleshooting general arena technology infrastructure and systems.
  • Troubleshoot televisions and their signal problems.
  • Assist with lighting control prior to start of event.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

 

  • Stand, walk, talk, hear, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms up to 2/3 of time.  
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1/3 of time.  
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. up to 2/3 of time; up to 50 lbs. up to 1/3 of time.  
  • Moderate to very loud noise.  
  • Clear vision at 20”, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and identify and distinguish colors.  
  • Work near moving mechanical parts up to 2/3 of time.  
  • Work in high, precarious places, in outdoor weather conditions, and with risk of electrical shock, up to 1/4 of time.  

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Minimum 
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. 2+ years’ experience in a sports and entertainment field.
  3. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. 
  • Preferred 
  1. 2 years’ experience with AV systems in an arena setting.

Compensation 

 

  • Base hourly range $23.75-$25.00 per hour
