Position Summary
The Detroit Tigers Foundation is seeking a Seasonal Community Assistant to support the execution of Foundation programs and partnerships throughout the 2026 season. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality community initiatives, supporting nonprofit and corporate partners, and ensuring smooth on-site execution of Foundation events and activations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of Foundation programs aligned to youth education, health and wellness, growing the game, and community heroes initiatives.
- Assist with coordination of nonprofit partner engagements, school activations, and community events.
- Provide on-site support at Foundation programs, youth sports initiatives, and partner activations.
- Help manage program logistics including materials, run-of-show documents, RSVP tracking, and volunteer coordination.
- Track participation metrics and assist with impact reporting and recaps.
- Support partner stewardship through follow-up communications, thank-you correspondence, and documentation.
- Maintain organized records of program materials and partner communications.
- Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, partnerships, community relations, game presentation) to ensure aligned messaging and seamless execution.
- Provide administrative and operational support to Foundation leadership as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- Professional and comfortable interacting with community partners, corporate stakeholders, and youth participants.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays during the baseball season.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week with flexibility for additional hours as needed
- 2026 seasonal role is scheduled to begin March 2026; conclude end of season 2026
- Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exposure to moderate - high noise level
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Frequent visual/auditory attention
