Manager, Operations - TigerTown
Job Summary:
Oversee the daily execution of Ballpark and Facility Operations for MLB Spring Training, Lakeland Flying Tigers, all Non Game Day and 3rd Party Events at Tigertown, located in Lakeland, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key contact for Stadium and Facility Operations for all events, MLB Spring Training, MILB, Non-Game Day Events
Manage daily logistics, facility maintenance, guest services/experiences and ensure a safe, clean and functioning environment and facility
Event Set up/Breakdown, coordination with Vendors, supporting facility maintenance, managing equipment and 3rd party contracts with companies and contractors.
Serve as a key contact with communication to City of Lakeland on repairs, and work around Stadium and facility.
Assist Director of Security on operational issues and Game Day staffing and supervision/coordination of game day roles to include administrative assistance.
Assist Director of Security with day to day operation and security of Player Development Academy.
Responsible for tracking of all incoming and outgoing packages and mail, ensuring timely delivery and distribution.
Manage visitor check-in and check-out procedures, including security protocols.
Assist in tracking inventory, purchasing supplies, creating purchase orders.
Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 4 years related experience.
Strong verbal and writing skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to supervise employees
Background including knowledge/understanding of sports venue security
Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service orientation as well as presenting a professional, executive presence is a must.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Working Conditions:
Combination of outdoor (stadium/TigerTown complex) and office environment.
Ability to work in various weather conditions typical of Spring Training and MiLB seasons.
Requires evenings, weekends, and holidays aligned with MLB Spring Training and MiLB schedules.
Physically active role including standing, walking, and event-based operational responsibilities.
