JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Guest Experience and Event Operations Assistant will assist many areas of park operations including guest experience operations, event planning and execution, and baseball game execution. Responsible for specific non-game day, game day, special event, and administrative duties. Will work closely with guest experience and event operations while getting other experience across ballpark operations. Additional projects as needed throughout the season.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Game Day assignments – concourse set-up, safety and cleanliness walk-through, Guest Experience preparation work, crowd control, and event staff supervision
Special event set-up and coverage
Work alongside leadership to support event staff scheduling and supervision
Daily safety and security walk-through of ballpark
Assist with daily administrative duties of Event Operations and Guest Experience departments
Complete season specific projects as assigned by supervisor and department heads
Assist other departments as necessary including but not limited to; in-game promotions, field ceremonies, marketing, security, etc.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., sports administration, operations, event management, recreation/facility management). Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Customer service experience preferred
4. Excellent organizational skills
5. Must be reliable, detailed, and efficient
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office Environment
Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
