JOB SUMMARY:
This position is a part-time, seasonal position and includes exposure to multiple areas of baseball operations in Lakeland, FL. The Nutritionist will be stationed at the Lakeland Complex, performing several tasks as assigned by the Minor League Coordinator & Complex Dietitian.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and manage nutrition consultations for FCL and rehab, ensuring tailored guidance and support; maintain a consistent presence at all FCL games/travel with FCL (day trips).
- Contribute expert insights during rehab morning meetings as needed, driving effective nutrition strategies for recovery and return to play.
- Oversee comprehensive FCL nutrition management as well as players transitioning from the Dominican Republic to the U.S.
- Collaborate with coaching staff and performance teams to design and implement impactful nutrition education initiatives for players.
- Coordinate closely with the Dominican Republic Academy dietitian to ensure a seamless transition for players moving to the U.S.
- Conduct weekly hydration assessments, monthly body fat percentage assessments, and monitor weekly body weight for FCL to track performance indicators.
- Manage snack packing and pre/post meals for road games for the FCL team
- Supervise clinical supplementation protocols for rehabilitation programs across FCL
- Provide key support for major events in Lakeland
- Restocking and organizing nutrition areas as needed on a daily basis.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Registered Dietitian eligibility is required (must have completed dietetic internship)
- Bachelor's degree in clinical nutrition, food and nutrition, food sciences, sports nutrition, or related field required.
- years or more prior work experience in professional baseball, collegiate baseball or similar industry preferred
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Spanish speaking is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication, presentation, and counseling skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications – Word, Excel, Canva
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must be willing to relocate to Lakeland, FL.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and collaborate as a team member.
- Ability to measure height, weight, and assess body composition.
- Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, ergogenic aids, nutritional/herbal supplements.
- Familiarity with food service quality and safety practices.
- Ability to pass background check and drug test.
- Ability to work a non-standard work week.

- Outdoor and office environment
- Non-traditional work schedule. Evening, weekend and holiday hours will be required
- Must be able to lift up to 50lb

- Seasonal, May 1st 2026 through July 31st, 2026.
