Job Summary:
The Website Seasonal Assistant is responsible for assisting in the development and content management for the Detroit Red Wings owned web properties. The assistant will work collaboratively with the web manager, web specialist and various teams within the organization to fulfill web requests, post web stories and press releases as well as publish game day content and recaps.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide gameday support, maintenance and development of web properties
Conduct routine maintenance across web properties
Be available at a moment’s notice when breaking news must be posted to a company website
Be flexible with schedule by being available in the evenings and on weekends
Maintain continuity of templates, design layouts, streamline navigation and increase online presence
Coordinate creative efforts and web requests from various departments throughout the Red Wings organization
Support sponsorship contests and sweepstakes requests
Support group sales online promotions
Test company websites and identify any technical problems

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Two to four years related experience and/or training working on high-traffic websites including development and maintenance
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Site design and optimization experience
Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards
Basic knowledge of HTML and experience with content management systems
Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
Understanding of web design and functionality best practices
Understanding of basic marketing fundamentals, content creation and integration, campaign development and marketing promotion
Must be able to manage multiple programs at one time
Ability to efficiently and effectively self-direct and prioritize work
Must have the flexibility to re-prioritize tasks at a moments notice
Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry
Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator
Working Conditions:
Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Exposure to moderate noise level
Frequent visual/auditory attention
