Job Summary:
The Brand Marketing Assistant is a seasonal role supporting the Detroit Red Wings’ Brand Marketing department. The role involves executing gameday activations, collaborating on marketing requests, and conducting research to further strengthen the brand’s identity. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, adaptability, and a passion for enhancing fan experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
General administrative support to the Brand Marketing department
Coordination of internal communications for Brand Marketing department including the development and distribution of meeting notes and outcomes
Collaborate with Brand Marketing & Operations Manager to organize and execute marquee gameday experiences
Assist in the use of analytics to evaluate fan engagement initiatives, measure program effectiveness, and recommend improvements
Assist the Brand Marketing Coordinator on marketing creative tracking and requests
Assist with daily execution of affinity programs like the Detroit Red Wings Kids Club
Assist with the organization and gameday execution of the Detroit Red Wings Kids Club concourse kiosk
Coordinate activations with community organizations and corporate partners to enhance fan experiences and outreach efforts
Assist the Hockey Growth Initiatives Manager to distribute event communications, organize program data, and other tasks as needed
Conduct thorough activation and brand research of other sports and entertainment teams and leagues
Assist in the distribution of promotional items
Assist with other Marketing aspects as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
College senior or recent graduate (within 6 months)
Prior internship or administrative experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent writing and communication skills
Professional demeanor and attitude in office setting
Strong computer skills with high level of experience in Microsoft Office
Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to moderate noise level.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 25lbs.
Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
