POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Microsoft 365 platforms, virtualization, storage, and backup solutions. This role is critical in supporting a secure, compliant, and resilient IT environment across multiple organizational sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED, TO THE BELOW:
- Manage and support server infrastructure, storage systems, and enterprise applications including Active Directory, licensing, and troubleshooting.
- Administer Microsoft Intune for device compliance and management; Oversee Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and other M365 services.
- Maintain and optimize Azure Arc, Azure IAM, and Entra Active Directory environments.
- Oversee email security, malware protection, and data loss prevention tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike, Checkpoint).
- Develop and deliver technical documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with IT team members to design, implement, and maintain internal tools and develop solutions for emerging requirements.
- Support Technical Support team with device imaging, Apple product integration, and endpoint management.
- Lead efforts in documenting and enhancing IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide enterprise-wide technical support and guidance.
- Plan and execute system conversions, migrations, upgrades, and implementations.
- Lead cross-departmental systems projects and initiatives.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships related to systems infrastructure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of experience in systems administration and management.
- Expert-level knowledge of VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Active Directory (including DNS and DHCP).
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server and MS Dynamics is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in technical documentation and diagramming tools (e.g., Visio).
- Solid understanding of certificate services including SSL, UC, PKI infrastructure, and third-party certificate authorities.
- Demonstrate project management and risk assessment capabilities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Ability to work across multiple locations including Prudential Center (Newark, NJ) Camden NJ, and Philadelphia PA.
- Willingness to participate in game-day and after-hours support, in addition to standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Travel Requirements: May be required to travel occasionally, including between HBSE’s various offices; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay.
Work Environment: This position generally requires that work primarily be performed from the Penn Medicine/76ers’ office in Camden, NJ, and may require attendance at events taking place at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA and the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. This position requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to move items up to 25 pounds.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $60,000 and $85,000/year. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This position will be an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
