SENIOR REVENUE ACCOUNTANT – OVERVIEW:
As Elevate continues to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to take ownership of revenue recognition and help scale our accounting processes. This role will be instrumental in ensuring GAAP and ASC 606 compliance, with a strong emphasis on deferred revenue, proper timing of recognition, and delivering accurate financial reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and lead deferred revenue schedules and monthly roll-forwards 
  • Ensure revenue is recorded in the correct period per GAAP (ASC 606) 
  • Prepare monthly revenue recognition journal entries 
  • Analyze contracts to determine proper revenue treatment 
  • Reconcile revenue accounts and deferred revenue balances 
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes 
  • Partner with Operations, Billing, and Finance teams on revenue accuracy 
  • Assist with audit support and revenue documentation
  • Take ownership of end-to-end revenue accounting process, identifying gaps and driving improvements
  • Assist in building scalable processes in preparation for future team expansion

QUALIFICATIONS:

A.  Education and/or Experience
  • 4–8+ years of revenue accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP revenue recognition (ASC 606 preferred)
  • Experience managing deferred revenue schedules required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 
  • Proficiency with NetSuite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, reconciliations) 
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Demonstrate ability to own processes and drive improvements independently

POSITION AND BENEFITS DETAILS:
  • The base compensation range for this position is anticipated to be: $100,000 - $110,00

Travel Requirements: 
  • Very infrequent travel 
Physical Demands: 
  • This position requires sitting for extended periods while using a computer or phone.
Work Environment: 
  • This role preferably will be located out of our office in Charlotte on a hybrid schedule.  We are also open to remote candidates.
