About Our Creative Team (formerly Downstream)
Elevate is a global collective of designers, technologists, and strategists creating immersive brand and story-telling experiences. We combine physical spaces with digital content and interactive technology to deliver environments that engage audiences in meaningful and innovative ways. AV systems play a central role in these experiences, enabling storytelling through sound, video, and interaction within highly creative, design-led environments.
Senior Interactive Experience Developer
This role focuses on creating immersive digital experiences that exist in real-world environments. From interactive museum installations to smart environments and large-scale experiential spaces, the work transforms how people engage with technology. We are seeking a Senior Interactive Experience Developer / Creative Coder to bring ambitious ideas to life through creative coding, advanced technologies, and innovative thinking.
What You’ll Do
- Lead front-end development across innovative client projects and internal R&D initiatives
- Experiment with emerging technologies and push creative and technical boundaries
- Mentor junior developers and help shape development best practices
- Collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and clients to deliver high-quality experiences
- Prototype rapidly and scale ideas into robust, production-ready solutions
- Create documentation that supports both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and cross-team collaboration
- Support global installations (approximately 2–3 site visits per year)
What You Bring
- Strong programming skills with a passion for creative coding and visual storytelling
- Experience with tools such as TouchDesigner, Notch, Pixera, Unreal, or Unity
- Proficiency in languages including JavaScript (Three.js, WebGL), Python, C++, or Qt/QML
- Solid experience building interactive browser-based applications
- Knowledge of graphics programming (OpenGL, GLSL, Vulkan, or DirectX)
- Experience using Git/GitHub in collaborative environments
- Understanding of UX principles and interactive systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
- A curious mindset and enthusiasm for innovation
Bonus: Experience with sensors, interactive hardware, or immersive technologies
