AV systems play a central role in these experiences, enabling storytelling through sound, video, and interaction within highly creative, design-led environments.
About the Role
The Senior Experiential AV Consultant plays a key role within the AV and Experiential Technology team, supporting the design and delivery of AV systems across EMEA and global projects. Working closely with designers, engineers, and project teams, you will translate creative concepts into robust, buildable technical solutions. The role spans early-stage design through to installation and handover. This role includes client-facing responsibility for defining project briefs and ensuring alignment with budgets, client roadmaps, standards, and strategies. Site presence is required during installation phases, including responsibility for configuration (e.g. Windows and GPU settings) to support the deployment of Elevate custom software, as well as testing and approval of AV and technology systems. Proven experience developing technical documentation is required, alongside a broader capability in AV system design and coordination.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support AV design across projects, ensuring quality and alignment with creative intent
- Develop AV system solutions covering video, audio, control, and interactive technologies
- Produce and review technical documentation including signal flow diagrams, schematics, layouts, and drawing packages, ensuring alignment with Elevate global AV drawing standards
- Specify AV hardware and develop Bills of Quantities, schedules, and technical narratives, ensuring alignment with global standards and regional (EMEA) practices
- Coordinate with AV integrators, subcontractors, and wider project teams during delivery
- Support installation, commissioning, and client handover
- Collaborate with internal teams including 3D design (using SketchUp), UX, Labs (software), and content
- Contribute to AV standards, workflows, and continuous improvement across the EMEA and Global AV team
- Support prototyping and testing of experiential systems where required
What You Bring
- 6–10+ years’ experience in AV systems design, engineering, or technical delivery
- Strong understanding of AV technologies including:
- Video distribution and processing, projection systems, video walls, and DvLED
- Control systems (e.g. Q-SYS, Crestron, AMX)
- Audio systems and signal processing including networked AV (Dante, AES67, VLANs)
- Interactive and experiential AV systems
- Proven experience in technical documentation and CAD workflows
- Proven experience with installation and commissioning processes
- Confident and positive communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable:
- AVIXA certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit
- Experience with experimental prototyping or physical system build-outs
Additional Information
- Hybrid working model with regular in-studio collaboration Monday–Thursday (Amsterdam) and flexible working on Fridays
- Expected working hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm CET
- Travel required (approx. 20–30%) for EMEA-wide (and occasional global) projects.
