Our role is to ensure the best product and experience for the audience–be that a student-athlete, a donor or corporate partner, a team or league, or of course the dedicated fans.

The Events team specializes in branding, signage, and decor/dressing for large-scale sporting events and fan experiences. The team creates comprehensive temporary design solutions for the world’s most attended sporting events –including brand activation, signage systems, environmental graphics, and partner integration.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Elevate Creative is seeking a Senior Designer, Events to lead and support the creative development of large-scale branding and signage for some of the world’s most visible sporting events (like MLB All-Star Game, NHL Winter Classic, College Football Playoff National Championship, FIFA World Cup). In this role, you will take ownership of event-wide graphic systems — from concept through production and onsite implementation — ensuring that every element aligns with the client’s brand and the realities of the venue.

You are fluent in designing for the temporary built environment, with experience creating and adapting graphics systems, building wraps, fan-facing graphics, partner activations, and wayfinding systems. You understand how design decisions translate into print, fabrication and installation solutions, and you can work seamlessly with project managers and vendors to bring creative visions to life on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced, fixed-deadline environment, and can balance big-picture creative direction with production-level precision. You are confident presenting work to clients, mentoring more junior designers, and making informed decisions when conditions change onsite.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

● Working under guidance of the Design Director and Creative Director, execute the creative development of event-wide graphic systems, including signage, wayfinding, partner activations, and environmental branding.
● Translate brand guidelines into large-format design solutions for temporary environments such as stadiums, arenas, fan zones, hotels, and public spaces.
● Create scalable design assets for a variety of applications — vinyl wraps, mesh scrim, building wraps, barricade graphics, banners, and directional signage.
● Prepare accurate, production-ready files for large-format printing, ensuring color consistency, resolution quality, and material compatibility.
● Collaborate closely with project managers and vendors to confirm design feasibility, troubleshoot production issues, and meet event deadlines.
● Conduct site visits and participate in onsite installation oversight, where applicable, to ensure creative intent is maintained in the final execution.
● Mentor junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to elevate design quality across the team.
● Manage multiple concurrent projects in varying phases while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to brand standards.
● Present concepts and final designs to clients, articulating the rationale behind creative decisions and incorporating feedback effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:
● Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong graphic design abilities and large-scale event branding work.
● 5–7 years of professional experience in branding, event and/or experiential graphic design, environmental graphics, or related fields.
● Experience with built environments and a strong understanding of environmental/experiential graphic design principles.
● Proven ability to work with multiple project teams and clients, managing design deliverables across concurrent projects.
● Expert in Adobe Creative Suite — Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop — with advanced skills in creating accurate, print-ready files for large-format production.
● Skilled in color selection, refinement, and proof review to ensure color accuracy, image resolution, and material compatibility.
● Experienced in reading, interpreting, and working with architectural plans, construction documents, and site maps to inform design decisions and ensure installation feasibility.
● Deep understanding of fabrication methods, substrates, and installation techniques for temporary environments.
● Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to evolve creative direction into cohesive graphic systems across multiple venues and applications (e.g., vinyl wraps, mesh scrim, banners, building wraps, partner activations).
● Comfortable conducting site visits and providing onsite creative oversight during event installation and breakdown.
● Experienced collaborating directly with project managers and production and installation vendor resources  to balance creative vision with real world  constraints, including budget and technical feasibility.
● Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers is a plus.
● Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Airtable, FileMaker) is a plus.
