Sacramento Republic FC is one of the premier clubs in the USL Championship. Since 2014, the club has reflected the indomitable nature of California’s Capital City, breaking league records year over year, winning the championship in its inaugural season, and sparking a regional passion for soccer. Owned and managed by a joint venture partnership between Wilton Rancheria and Kevin Nagle, the club will continue to invest in the city, with plans to build a Downtown soccer-specific stadium that will redefine entertainment in the growing and evolving Sacramento region. Along with its partners, Republic FC is committed to supporting various community investment programs to serve the city, use its platform to drive impact and success on and off the field, and operate the region’s only youth-to-pro soccer development academy, while also supporting the development of youth soccer players throughout Northern California.
ROLE SUMMARY - SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, MEMBERSHIP SALES (NEW STADIUM)
As Sacramento Republic FC prepares to open their new Republic Stadium, we’re building a world-class sales team to match. The Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business revenue through the sale of full season memberships and premium seating featuring elevated hospitality products never before offered by Republic FC.
This role requires a strong sales mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to close high-value deals in a competitive marketplace. You will work closely with the sales leadership team to execute strategic sales initiatives and maximize revenue opportunities.
To help bring the Republic Stadium vision to life, the club is opening a state-of-the-art Stadium Experience Center in downtown Sacramento. You will be one of the primary storytellers in this space, leveraging immersive presentations, virtual stadium tours, and premium product showcases to close major deals and shape the future of Republic FC’s premium business
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new business revenue from full season memberships and premium seating through cold calling, prospecting, networking, referrals and in-person meetings.
- Meet or exceed daily call minimum and appointment expectations, along with annual sales goals.
- Prospect potential new clients via phone, email, internet, social media, self-prospecting, and provided lead lists.
- Consistently and effectively manage a robust sales pipeline while providing updates and forecasts to SRFC executive leadership.
- Execute and lead dynamic sales presentations, both on-site within the experience center and offsite at prospect locations throughout the Northern California region.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing and future clients to grow prospect pool and increase selling opportunities.
- Represent SRFC at local networking, community, and corporate events to generate awareness, excitement, and sales leads throughout the Northern California Region.
- Utilizes HubSpot (CRM) system to manage accounts, pipelines, sales process, and activity.
- Create, track, develop and maintain all proposals, research, contracts and follow all sales processes diligently.
- Due to the nature of this project, the candidate must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, and SRFC match days.
- Candidate should be a self-starter that possesses an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as the competitive desire to be the best.
- Clearly and effectively communicate personally and professionally within all levels of a company, both internally and externally.
- Represent Sacramento Republic FC at all home games and various events to support ticket sales and premium efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Must have 1-2+ years of sales experience; prior experience selling full season membership deals in sports and entertainment is strongly preferred.
- History of top Premium/B2B revenue production for a sports and/or entertainment organization.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Exceptional organization and pipeline management skills.
- Skilled in setting and running sales meetings, with ability to effectively pitch and present premium products.
- Professional demeanor, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of the corporate sector and demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in the market.
- Adaptable and flexible, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and competing demands.
- Highly dependable, consistently punctual and responsive to managerial direction and feedback.
- Local market knowledge is a plus.
- Must be able to work collaboratively across all departments and have a team-first mentality.
- Must be able to work irregular hours, evenings, weekends, events, and holidays as required.
- Proficient in Unify or Archtics, Salesforce or HubSpot CRM, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with ability to consistently travel to offsite client meetings.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working Environment: SRFC Front Office (Sacramento, CA) onsite.
- Travel Requirements: Limited but requires flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and move around event spaces during attendance at events.
Position and Benefit Details:
- Anticipated Base Salary: $45K-$50K (based on experience) + commission eligible
- Total On Target Earnings (OTE): $75K-$95K (including commissions)
- Full Time (Non-Exempt)
