DESIGN DIRECTOR – OVERVIEW:
As the Design Director at Elevate Sports Ventures, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and design strategies for our organization. You will lead a team of skilled designers and collaborate with various stakeholders to create compelling and effective designs that align with our brand, marketing objectives, and business goals. This role requires a blend of creative vision, leadership, project management, and strategic thinking.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design Leadership:
- Set the creative direction and vision for the design team, ensuring that it aligns with the company's goals and values.
- Inspire and mentor designers, fostering their growth and creativity.
- Oversee the execution of design projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality work.
- Establish and maintain design guidelines and standards.
Team Management:
- Recruit, train and manage a team of designers, including graphic designers, UX/UI designers, and other design professionals.
- Delegate tasks, assign projects, and manage workloads to optimize team performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
Project Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and senior leadership, to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Ensure that design projects are aligned with marketing strategies and product development timelines.
- Present design concepts and ideas to clients, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.
Design Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that reflects the company's brand identity and long-term goals.
- Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Quality Control:
- Review and approve design deliverables to ensure they meet quality and brand standards.
- Conduct design critiques and provide constructive feedback to improve design work.
QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience in design leadership roles with a portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects.
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, etc.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and user experience design.
- Exceptional project management and communication skills.
- Must be able to travel on a need basis
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a strong aesthetic sense.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Full Time, Exempt
- $75,000 -$125,000
