ABOUT VENEZIA FC
Venezia FC is a global icon, a brand that transcends the pitch to influence the worlds of high fashion, art, and culture. Now, the club is preparing for its most audacious move yet: the transition from the century-old Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo to a breathtaking new home within the Bosco dello Sport (Forest of Sport). Scheduled for completion in Autumn 2027, this 18,500-seat masterpiece, features a striking "sinusoidal" exterior that mirrors the undulating waves of the Venetian Lagoon, the venue will serve as a 365-day destination for luxury hospitality, international concerts, and elite global events.
 
ROLE SUMMARY - HEAD OF TICKET SALES & OPERATIONS
As part of the new stadium project the Head of Ticket Sales & Operations will play a pivotal role in driving Venezia FCʼs commercial growth, leading the clubʼs premium and ticketing sales strategy during an exciting period of transformation. Central to this position is the inspirational leadership of a high-performing sales team, comprising two Premium Sales Managers and a group of Account Executives. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating a dynamic, results-driven culture, empowering the team to exceed ambitious revenue targets while delivering exceptional experiences for corporate partners and supporters. Through strategic vision, data-led decision making, and hands-on mentorship, this leader will shape a best-in-class sales operation aligned with the clubʼs long-term ambitions. 
This position plays a vital role in generating revenue and elevating the brand of Venezia FC across season tickets, group sales, premium hospitality, and special events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Lead and Inspire Sales Teams: Provide inspirational leadership to a high-performing commercial team, including two Premium Sales Managers and a group of Account Executives, fostering a results-driven culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and excellence. 
  • Drive Premium and Ticketing Revenue: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to maximise revenue across premium hospitality, seasonal memberships, and match-by-match ticketing, with a strong emphasis on long-term customer value and yield optimisation. 
  • New Stadium Commercialisation: Working collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to execute the go-to-market strategy for the clubʼs new 18,500-capacity stadium, shaping the evolution of the product mix, pricing architecture, and sales phasing to ensure successful launch and sustained revenue growth.  
  • Strategic Business Planning: Own the premium and ticketing business plans, setting ambitious revenue targets, defining sales objectives, and monitoring performance against key commercial metrics. 
  • Pipeline and Relationship Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of corporate clients and high-value supporters through proactive prospecting, networking, and strategic partnerships, both domestically and internationally. 
  • Data-Led Sales Management: Utilise CRM systems and market intelligence to track performance, forecast revenue, and inform strategic decision-making, ensuring a disciplined and structured sales process. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, partnerships, and finance teams to align campaigns, optimise lead generation, and deliver integrated commercial outcomes that enhance the overall fan and partner experience. 
  • Sales Governance and Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior leadership, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations. 
  • Support Ticketing Operations: Provide strategic oversight of ticketing operations and technology to ensure efficient inventory management and a seamless customer journey, while maintaining sales generation as the primary focus. 
  • Market Intelligence and Best Practice: Stay informed of global trends in sports and entertainment, leveraging insights to continuously innovate and position Venezia FC as a leader in premium fan experiences. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience 
  • Bachelorʼs degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of senior sales leadership experience , preferably in professional sports. 
  • Proven experience managing a team and meeting or exceeding sales goals. 
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Vivaticket,, SeatGeek, Ticketmaster) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft CRM). 
  • Fluency in Italian and English is highly desirable; additional languages are an advantage 

Skills & Abilities 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during the football season. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) & Google Suite    
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making approach. 
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to lead diverse teams with empathy and accountability. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Travel Requirements: 
  • Local travel to in-market events is required 
Working Environment: 
  • The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however, is expected to attend all events  

POSITION AND BENEFITS DETAILS:
  • Anticipated Salary: €100,000 -€115,000 + Bonus 
  • Healthcare & Life Insurance

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employeeʼs pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
