ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Group Sales Account Executive plays a key role on the Elevate team supporting the University of South Florida in Tampa. Responsible for achieving annual group ticket revenue goals, this position focuses on driving new business, building relationships with local organizations, and creating memorable group experiences at USF Athletics events. The role also provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the sales campaigns and momentum behind South Florida’s new on-campus football stadium, set to open in 2027—the first of its kind in program history.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive revenue through the sale of group ticket packages and multi-game packages for University of South Florida Athletics, including football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball and lacrosse.
  • Generate new business by developing relationships with youth organizations, schools, nonprofits, and corporate groups through outbound calls, networking, referrals, and social selling.
  • Execute a high volume of daily touchpoints and outreach efforts, while building and maintaining a strong pipeline of group prospects.
  • Lead virtual presentations and in-person meetings to showcase group experiences, season ticket plans, and game day offerings.
  • Identify and maximize opportunities to upsell and cross-sell group outings, special experiences, and season or multi-game packages.
  • Meet or exceed established group sales revenue and engagement goals.
  • Provide exceptional service by managing relationships from prospecting through game day, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all groups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute group events and in-game experiences.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of group-focused events, theme nights, and fan engagement initiatives.
  • Support game day operations, including hosting group leaders, servicing clients, and enhancing the overall fan experience.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and sales activity within CRM systems.
  • Contribute to a positive, competitive team environment while actively participating in sales meetings, training sessions, and team initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of sales experience, preferred within ticketing
  • Familiarity with CRM systems & processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Goal oriented whether that is around driving revenue, provided service or helping daily operations.

  • Capable of maintaining discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working Environment
  • The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however is expected to attend additional athletic event(s) and/or department events as scheduled throughout the year.
Physical Demands
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Travel Requirements
  • This position may require a limited amount of travel on rare occasions
