ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Director, Ticket Sales & Service will lead and manage a team of account executives responsible for ticket sales and retention for UCLA Athletics. Tasked with delivering on annual ticket sales revenue goals, this role will be part of a groundbreaking collaboration between two powerhouse brands in UCLA Athletics and Elevate. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Ticket Sales & Service position will be responsible for driving ticket sales revenue through the combination of new business sales and account retention.
- Lead in planning and establishing processes that ensure the team meets its ticket sales revenue goals.
- Sell season ticket plans, multi-game packages and group tickets for select UCLA Athletics programs, including football, menʼs and womenʼs basketball, gymnastics, and other Olympic sports.
- Additional revenue opportunities may be available through hospitality and experiences.
- Lead team by example: Prospect new business through outbound phone calls, deliver virtual presentations and execute in-person, face to face meetings, as necessary.
- Meet or exceed assigned individual and team ticket sales and/or retention goals.
- Monitor revenue team pipeline and lead management, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
- Work closely with the data management team to identify quality leads. Effectively communicate with those leads with the goal of growing the season ticket base via new clients and/or enhanced relationships with current clients.
- Contribute positively to a competitive sales team culture, leading sales team meetings and training sessions.
- Establish processes to attentively respond to all season ticket holder and customer requests, concerns, and inquiries.
- Manage team to effectively qualify and service incoming calls and/or in person meetings to customer satisfaction.
- Train the ticket team to identify opportunities for up-sells, add-ons, and referral business from clients to maximize revenue.
- Work alongside the marketing team, development, and ticket operations teams to optimize online sales performance, driving potential ticket buyers to place deposits for and purchase season, partial, groups, premium and single game tickets online.
- Lead in the planning and implementation of existing season ticket holder and general fan events.
- Establish optimized processes for season ticket holders to manage their accounts online.
- Oversee ticket teamʼs game day duties, including but not limited to, hosting member events and servicing ticket holder needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience
- 5-years of experience in ticket sales
- Minimum 2-years in management role leading a ticket sales team
- Proven ability to identify, recruit, develop and train staff and identify future sales candidates
- Relevant understanding of NCAA and Big Ten Conference bylaws is a plus
- History as a top revenue producer for a sports and/or entertainment organization
- Track record of achieving and surpassing sales goals

- The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however is expected to attend additional athletic event(s) and/or department events as scheduled throughout the year.
