*We may also consider applicants that are at the Sr. Director level and would calibrate the role accordingly.
As a Director, Insights you will own the full arc of client engagements — from scoping and structuring to final delivery and relationship stewardship — while simultaneously building and leading the team that executes them. You will set the standard for analytical rigor and executive-level storytelling, serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, and play a central role in growing Elevate's practice through business development and internal leadership. This role spans a range of Elevate service lines, including hospitality strategy, partnership sales and valuation, brand representation, and venue feasibility.
This role is preferably based in one of Elevate's offices (Charlotte, New York, Santa Clara, or Nashville), but remote candidates will also be considered. This role requires the ability to travel, with flexibility for evening and weekend engagements as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Engagement Leadership
● Lead client engagements end-to-end: define scope and objectives, mobilize project teams, structure deliverables, and direct on-time, high-quality delivery of all work products
● Develop and present strategic recommendations grounded in rigorous analysis and client context, incorporating external benchmarks to strengthen the case for change and inform target-state design
● Oversee the development of financial models and validate key assumptions to inform business opportunities, pricing strategy, revenue forecasting, and partnership valuation
● Facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from senior management, C-suite executives, team owners, and league stakeholders — escalating risks and resolving issues proactively
Analytics & Strategic Problem-Solving
● Lead a hypothesis-driven analytical approach across engagements, applying structured problem-solving to identify root causes, quantify impact, and translate data into actionable recommendations
● Design and manage surveys, stakeholder interviews, and focus groups, synthesizing findings into strategic narratives
● Champion the use of emerging AI capabilities, digital platforms, and data tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of client delivery
Storytelling & Executive Communication
● Set the standard for deliverable quality — ensuring every deck, visualization, and written recommendation is "answer first" and tells a compelling, data-driven story
● Present complex findings to senior audiences with clarity, confidence, and precision, translating analytical depth into language that drives executive decision-making
● Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building relationships that extend beyond individual engagements
Team & Practice Leadership
● Build, develop, and lead a team of managers, analysts, and interns — providing coaching, performance management, and career development across technical and professional competencies
● Lead internal initiatives including department goal setting, staff and project planning, training curriculum, and professional development programming
● Collaborate with internal partners across Elevate's verticals to bring the full breadth of the firm's capabilities to each engagement
● Lead recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to build and scale the Insights team
Business Development & Growth
● Support business development initiatives, including proactive prospecting, proposal development, and pitch presentations
● Cultivate relationships, expand Elevate's network, and generate new business opportunities through targeted outreach
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Experience
● 8+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or an equivalent leadership role at a leading organization
● MBA or other graduate degree preferred but not required
● Sports or entertainment industry experience is a plus
Skills & Capabilities
● Exceptional people leadership — a track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
● Deep expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and structured problem-solving, with the ability to oversee and elevate the quality of others' analytical work
● Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, facilitating executive-level conversations, and serving as a trusted advisor
● Outstanding storytelling skills — ability to architect compelling decks and narratives that translate complex insights into executive-ready, "answer first" recommendations
● Strong verbal and written communication skills, with polished presentation and public-speaking capabilities
● Proficiency across MS Office and Google Drive suites
● AI-forward: a point of view on how generative AI and emerging technologies can be embedded into consulting workflows, team development, and client delivery
Attributes
